These terms govern your use of northwindheating.com and set out the basis on which Northwind Heating Ltd. provides information through it. Services we perform for you are governed by the written quote and any service agreement you sign — where those documents conflict with this page, they take precedence.

Use of this website

You may use this site for lawful purposes and to enquire about our services. You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, scrape it at a volume that burdens the service, or use it to transmit unlawful or harmful material.

Information on this site is not a quote

Descriptions of services, equipment, timeframes and savings on this site are general information. They are not an offer, a quote, or a guarantee of any particular outcome. Every property is different. A binding price comes only from a written quote issued after an assessment of your specific property.

Rebates, incentives and pricing

Rebate amounts shown on this site are program maximums published by third parties — BC Hydro, CleanBC, FortisBC and others. Eligibility, amounts and program terms are set by those organisations, change periodically, and are outside our control. We confirm current eligibility before you commit, but we do not guarantee any rebate will be approved. Prices for maintenance plans and financing terms are subject to change.

Financing

Financing is provided by a third-party lender, subject to credit approval, and governed by that lender's agreement. We are not the lender and are not party to that agreement.

Workmanship and warranties

Work we perform carries our workmanship warranty as described in your quote or service agreement. Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty, whose terms are set by the manufacturer. Manufacturer warranties commonly require documented annual maintenance — failure to maintain equipment can void them, and that is a matter between you and the manufacturer.

Intellectual property

The content, design and code of this site are owned by Northwind Heating Ltd. or its licensors. Manufacturer names and trademarks referenced on this site belong to their respective owners and are used to identify the products we supply and service.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or from reliance on its general information. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or rights you have under applicable consumer protection legislation.

Third-party links

We link to third-party sites for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices.

Emergencies

This website is not a channel for emergencies. If you smell gas, leave the building immediately and call the FortisBC emergency line and 911 from outside. If a carbon monoxide alarm sounds, leave and call 911. Do not use a web form to report either.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
